What I'm Eating
I've been trying to cook and eat at home more instead of eating out all the time!
I've made Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti, fritatttas, Velveeta Sausage Dip, Fried Egg Sandwiches, Tuna Sandwiches, frozen lasagnas, etc. Simple stuff, but better than eating McDonalds for every meal!

What I'm Reminiscing About
Nothing really. Is that odd?

What I'm Loving
That Fall is right around the corner! I wrote a post yesterday about my Fall favorites and I can't wait to enjoy them!

What I've Been Up To
Oh ya know....staying inside from the killer heat and humidity. I've been doing lots of reading and Netflixing (my favorite things) because it's just miserable out.

What I'm Dreading
Hmmm... I can't really think of this either. I've got some landscaping and painting I need to do outside when it cools off, so I'm definitely dreading that because WORK!

What I'm Working On
I'm working on paying off some debt. I have a balance on my credit card that I'm focused on paying off and that is my main goal right now. Let me tell you. It's hard to  put that extra money towards a card instead of a new purse or nice boots, but I'm determined!

What I'm Excited About
Fall! I think I've mentioned this already!

What I'm Watching
OMG you guys! It's vulgar and filthy, but like a friend said, it's a car crash you can't take your eyes off of. So good!

What I'm Reading
Just finished blogger, Micah Chaplin's, Riffs of Regret.

Starting blogger Sophie Hudson's,  A Little Salty to Cut the Sweet soon!

What I'm Listening To
At this moment, Pandora's 2000's Pop Radio.

On my playlist, I've got Tucker Beathard's Rock On

Cole Swindell's Middle of a Memory

and Kip Moore's Running For You. LOVE them!

What I'm Wearing
Leggings and tees. Always.
I've also become a huge fan of LuLaRoe, so that's made my way into the rotation.

What I'm Doing This Weekend
No set plans yet, but hoping to return some things to TJ Maxx, and hit up Bath and Body Works and Hobby Lobby. We'll see!

What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month
Fall Arts and Crafts Festivals! I love those things.

What Else is New?
Nada darn thing!

August Recap

Friends. Holy cow! Where did August go?

While it went by fast, I snuck a lot of activities in these past 30 days.

I ate the best burger of my entire life in Nashville.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it....

We ate at The Pharmacy in east Nashville, and it was amazing. I will be going back soon for another. And yes, Kathy, I will order tots again. Always tots!

I finally understood the obsession with everything LuLaRoe.  I was so against this trend for the longest time, but once I wore my new pieces, I was hooked.

I attended some pretty rad birthday parties for some pretty rad kiddos. And I'll never turn down an opportunity for photo booth fun!

I had my first glazed croissant and my mouth was in heaven. You guys. I've never tasted a finer pastry. Thank you Dunkin Donuts!

I had some awesome family time with my parents, sister, and her family. Love those kiddos.

I received Eats by one of my favorite bloggers, the one and only, Shay Shull. I also wrote a review about it. And here's a little secret, it's a great cookbook!

I ate out entirely too much with some pretty cool people. One of our favorite spots after church is Paradise Point. Grab some hot dogs and soft-serve ice-cream and we're set.

And my absolute favorite spot, Garcias, with book club and other groups of people. Gimme all the cheese dip and guac!

I enjoyed some cooler temps, but don't worry, it was short lived. We are back up in the 90s, and to say I'm not happy about it is a major understatement. Bring on fall, y'all!

I wrote a lot this month for this little ole blog.
I linked up a lot (because I'm obsessed with linkups)...

...and shared lots of random, embarrassing facts about myself!

I also sold my beloved little Rogue that I called Lucy. I had her a year, and she was a good one, but I was ready to move on!

Back to school shopping occurred. Well, I shopped and took advantage, but not for back to school. Mainly for office supplies for me (because I LOVE office supplies) and for our church's Christmas Shoebox drive.

And I did a whole lot of relaxing. Right up my alley!

How was your August, friends? Let's cheers to September!

Let's Talk: Fall!

Fall. My heart goes pitter-patter when I hear that one little word. It is my absolute FAVORITE season!

Let me share some of my favorite things about Fall.
All of my photos are from Pinterest since I was so unprepared to write this morning!

--Clothes--

I love a good sweatshirt, chunky sweater, riding boots, layers, etc. ::sigh::

Ahhh. Seeing these fall fashions just makes me want to dig out my sweaters NOW. Well...except for this 90 degree, humid weather, that is.

--Food--

Fall makes me want to pull out my crockpot and cook all of the soups and warm goodies.

Mmmmm. Ok, now I need some warm, feel good food!

--Decor--

Other than Christmas, Fall is my favorite time to decorate. It's just so cozy and cute!

--Fall Foliage--
Fall is by far the prettiest time in Kentucky. Leaves turn, and the colors are gorgeous! I don't know where these pictures were taken, but it reminds me of Kentucky!

Let me just reiterate, Fall is by far my all time favorite! Can it just be fall all year long?

Friday Faves

Y'all! We made it to Friday, and I think that deserves a huge HALLELUJAH!

You know my Friday drill by now; I'm sharing my favorites throughout the week with Andrea over at Momfessionals for 2 reasons: 1) I love a linkup, and 2) Andrea is one of my favorite bloggers!

Blogging
Well, first, let's celebrate the fact that I've blogged every (week) day for two weeks in a row! What?!?!?!?! Who am I?

Book Club

I meet these sweet ladies once a month for dinner to discuss the book we've read and  other life happenings. I look forward to this dinner so much throughout the week. We've read some awesome books along the way too!

Church Friends

I go to church with some awesome people, and they are a huge reason I starting attending again. We have a standing dinner every Wednesday night at even some Sundays for lunch. Love these people and all their kiddos.

Cooler Temps

We've had some cooler temps this week, and I have absolutely loved it! Unfortunately, the humidity and heat is back up, but I enjoyed the good weather while we had it! C'mon Fall!!!!!

Eats by Shay Shull
Getting this gal's cookbook in the mail was one of the highlights of my week. How sweet of her to send some of her readers a copy, along with a few other goodies. So excited for Shay, and I can't wait to start cooking some of her recipes!

What have been your favorites from the week?

Mix and Match Mama's "Eats" Cookbook Review

I received an email from one of my favorite bloggers (Shay Shull from Mix and Match Mama blog) asking to send her newest cookbook my way. I was expecting to receive it in September, so imagine my surprise when I opened a box to see her beautiful face on the front of her cookbook!

Isn't the cover just gorgeous?

Attached was a sweet little note.

And her publishers even sent a few extra little treats, like these rolled oats....

And the cutest little jar of syrup.

I couldn't wait to dig in.

First, the book is organized by recipes for each month, which I think is a fantastic idea! And of course in the back of the book is an index if you are looking for a particular recipe.

Shay also gives some tips and tricks for cooking, which if you know me, I definitely need!

When you get to the month page, all of the recipes for that section are listed.

I love that Shay includes pictures in kitchen with her cute kids.

And my absolute favorite part of the cookbook is that there is a picture of each and every recipe.

AND a little blurb written by Shay about each dish.

Another cute feature is that there is a quote on each page starting a new section. I am pretty much obsessed with quotes, so this was a hit with me.

If you want Shay's cookbook for yourself, pre-order here

Shay also has two other cookbooks!

I absolutely love "Eats"! I've already bookmarked some recipes, and I cannot wait to try them!

Thanks so so much to Shay for this sweet package! :)
