Big News!

Big News!

Major changes are happening this weekend. Let me give you a hint.....

I'm moving.

When I sold my first house, I moved into this cute little duplex.

I swore that I would stay here until I found a house that I absolutely loved. I was determined not to buy a house just to have a house.

And guess what?

I bought a house! I'll share more on it next week.

But for now, I just want to say goodbye to my home for the last 3 years.

Mia's home for the last 3 years.

You've been good to me, Trista Lane.

But it's time to move on, and make a home in my new house!

Snake Charmer

Happy Friday the 13th, ya crazy kids! I'm not at all superstitious; well, not really. How many of you are hiding under your desks in the fetal position waiting for, like, a flower pot to fall from the sky?

A few days ago, I got to go back to my old stomping grounds, my high school, to represent our company at the College and Career Fair they were hosting that day. I, along with my boss/step-dad headed up there to hand out some freebies and talk about what we do.

(And yes, it made me miss teaching.)

(And yes, it made me wonder if I was as awkward as these kids were.)

Basically we answered questions that the kids were forced to ask to fill out a worksheet, but there were some kids, albeit very few, that really did have questions about what we did and the machines we had. I stuck to answering the worksheet questions.....

...and charming snakes.

Yep. That's me. Holding a huuuuge snake. It only took me 3 hours of sitting across the aisle from it to work up the courage to hold it. It wasn't bad at all.

Although, honestly, I'd rather be carrying a snakeskin purse rather than the actual snake. ;)

I confess....

Time for another confess sesh. It's been ages since I've done one. I feel like it's good for the soul to get these little tid-bits out.

Ready?

I confess....

... that until the CMA performance with Justin Timberlake, I had no idea who Chris Stapleton was. Now, I'm obsessed. Like bought multiple song on iTunes obsessed. And I don't normally do that.

... if you don't like country music, I just don't think we can be friends. I used to be all about pop and rap and hip-hop, but there are very few songs I like from those genres now. Country is where it's at.

...it hurt my feelings when certain people didn't wish my happy birthday last weekend. Can't help it. Just did.

... I cried on the way home from my parent's house after my birthday party with the family because I felt so blessed and lucky and undeserving to have such a good family. They made my birthday super duper special.

... I'm hating these 70 degree Fall days. It's November. I need to be wearing sweaters and sweatshirts. Get it together, mother nature.

... I just don't understand what goes through guys' minds when they are talking to females. Why do you think girls like the things you are saying? News flash! They don't. It's creepy.

And on that note, I think we'll end. ;)

Have a great Friday, my friends.
