Twitter Faves Fri 8.0

Week 8 of doing this thing- sharing my favorite tweets of the week.

Nothing. Nothing is wrong with this at all.
Thanks to this tweet, I ran to DQ after work for a burger. It was heavenly.
I love seeing my blog/twitter friends rock their business. Erin is amazing.
I do try to be a kind person, but brave. That shit is hard. I need to print this tweet and post it everywhere.
Because good grief. They are literally every where you look. Enough already.
. Since I saw her host some kind of MTV awards show, I've loved this Amy girl. She's hilarious. Dry humor. She says what we're all thinking. I love it.

Do you follow someone that you think I'd love? Share your favorite twitter funnies with me!

Goodbye, Stella

Stella, my little black Ford Edge, has moved on.

I sold her this morning.

After only having her for 5 months.

"Why?", you may ask.

Why not?

Someone asked if I would, and I said yes.

You see, my family is in the auto business, so it's really no big thing to buy and sell.

And then there may have been a twinge of regret when she drove off, because things always look better when they aren't yours.

But it's just a car. And there will be another soon.

Hopefully sooner than later, because this homegirl will not be walking.

Bye, Stella. You've been a peach.

10 Reasons I'm Not A Real Blogger

I posted months and months ago a few reasons I'm not a real blogger. Looking back, I realize I'm still not a real blogger, because the exact same things still exist.

It's an oldie, but one of my favorite posts. Read it and let me know, are you a real blogger?

After visiting this blogland for a few years, I've come to realize I'm not a "real" blogger. Here's why:

1. I don't take pictures of myself looking to the side and to the ground with my hand non-chalantly in my hair.

2. I don't get 20 billion comments on each post I write. Or any post I write. Heck, I'm happy to just get one comment!

3. I don't drive a big fancy car and take pictures so that everyone sees the logo on the steering wheel. I drive a Toyota. Whoa! Be jealous! Edit: I now drive a Ford. Still not fancy.

4. I don't schedule or plan posts in my Erin Condren planner for days/weeks in advance. But I have owned one thanks to jumping on the bandwagon.

5. None of my linkups have ever been successful or lasted longer than the one day it was posted. #failure

6. I've never been given an item for free to review. Like give me a bag or necklace or something, people.

7. I don't do OOTDs. I have a few times and it's just awkward. How do you people do it and feel like it's normal?

8. I don't have a super cute, colorful office with a daybed in it to blog from. I mean I have a spare room with a regular bed and a desk, but I never use either of them...except to pile shit on.

9. I don't own a Louis Vuitton bag. But I totally would if you want to donate one to the cause.

10. I hate using cutesy blogger words like totes and amazeballs. Even Urban Dictionary agrees.

Did I miss something? Is there something I didn't put down that I'm lacking to be a real blogger?

Note: Most of these were just in good fun. Some were not. :)

What's On My Netflix: FNL

I've started a new series.

Friday Night Lights.

I'm on episode 3 or 4ish. And man, is the drama and action already going! No waiting around on this one.

And btw- I can already tell I'm going to be crushing hard on the new little QB1- Matt. Cutie patootie.

I've heard all kinds of good stuff about this one, so I think it will be good. Have you all watched it? What did ya think?

Twitter Faves Friday 7.0

It's my 7th week of doing this whole Twitter Faves thing, and I kind of enjoy it. I hope you do too.

Let's just start off with being honest.

Isn't this the realest struggle of all?

That Grayson is a hoot. Have I told you guys how much I love the Chrisley clan? Cause I do.
The answer is NO, Isaac. Always no.
Because SO many people suffer from anxiety and depression. I'm so so glad that Shane could put her anxiety into words for those that don't understand could possibly see a bit inside of how it is. While my post isn't written nearly as well as hers, I shared a tiny fragment of what I deal with.
This is what is wrong with America. This guy got a FREE cup of coffee because he is a cop (thank you, sir), but then proceeds to spill it on himself, and then sues Starbucks because it was hot. Idiot. Luckily, the courts didn't rule in his favor.
I think if I had this, I'd feel much cooler than I really am.
Yeah, you people aren't fooling anyone. Kudos to you for going through all of the trouble for a staged photo, but no. We all know it is staged.
Happy Friday, guys! Cheers to the freakin weekend!

I'm Addicted to Coke

But don't be alarmed, friends.

It's not the white, powdery kind.

No, its of the Coca-Cola variety.

And I just cant get enough.

You see, I love cokes. Sodas or pops, as you all non-Kentuckians call those carbonated beverages. Gimme Sprite, Mello Yellow, Dr. Pepper, Ski, Ale 8, Mt. Dew, Sunkist.....gimme whatever, and I will guzzle that drink like I'm dying of severe dehydration. Just because I love them so much.

I could, literally, drink them all day, every day.

But as every health article reads, they are terrible for you. And water is the only thing you should be drinking.

So I'm trying.

I'm trying to only drink water.

I'm trying not to buy a 20oz. daily at work.

I'm trying not to order a glass of Coke at the restaurant.

But it is hard. So so hard.

And sometimes I do ok. Sometimes I begrudgingly order water with lemon.

And then there are times, like last night at Cracker Barrel, that I caved, ordered a Coke, then proceeded to drink the 4 glasses they kept refilling. I just couldn't resist the fizzy, bubbly, goodness that I had thought about all afternoon.

And it was delicious.

Hey, guys! I've decided to combine the old and new- Sarcasm and Curls AND Corner of Sass and Snark are becoming one in a fruitful union.

As you can see, I've already changed the blog title. Pretty soon, as in as soon as Bloglovin changes my URL on their end, this URL will change.

Please add to your list. I think it will just be easier to have it as that since that is also my email handle. (And was my old one and it is now not available.)

Anywho- save it in your internet faves. Add it to Bloglovin if you haven't already. Just come back and read about my shenanigans.

Save or Splurge: Long Ball Necklace

I love doing these posts, and I hope you enjoy reading them. Whether you do or don’t, I’d love for you to let me know. Either way, I’d appreciate the feedback.

I wear this Silpada necklace ALL THE TIME! Seriously, it goes with everything, and is the best layering piece.

Imagine my surprise when I was looking around on Nordstrom’s website and saw basically the same thing for a lot more moolah. Wowza!

I'm a Mess

Real talk. Serious post, today. I'm a mess.

Do you ever feel like you're going absolutely crazy? Like you're swimming and swimming but just can't stay afloat? Like you're teetering on the edge of a cliff?

Every couple of months, I feel like I'm losing it. Losing my grip on life.

I feel sorry for myself.

I cry for hours. Ugly cry. For hours.

I get anxious and struggle for my breath.

Nothing anyone says or does triggers it or helps calm me down.

That was me yesterday. And I can feel the after-effects of it today. Headache. Puffy eyes. Super puffy eyes. I feel like I'm hungover. But not from alcohol. From emotion.

It comes from nowhere, lasts a few hours or even a full day, and then leaves.

And I'm stuck feeling absolutely nuts.

I've done this for years. I don't know why. I don't know how to stop it. I can feel myself fall into this dark little hole, but can't climb out. I'm fully aware, but no matter how much I try, I can't snap out of it and be my usual spunky, sassy self.

But give it a few hours. Give me a day or two. And I'm back to normal. "My" normal, anyway.

I have NO idea why I decided to share this today. I told myself this blog was only going to be fun and snarky and sassy. No downers or sad stuff or emotional stuff here. But something weighed on my heart this morning to share. To share my last 24 hours of "crazy". So here it is.

That Time There Was Shooting Next Door

I live on a quiet street with a lot of older people in a “medical” community. Lots of doctors and dentists offices and a street of duplexes. And I like it that way to be honest. When I’m home, nights and weekends, it’s pretty much dead.

So imagine my surprise when I was going to work one morning and the dentist office right beside my house (like literally next door), there was yellow tape blocking the parking lot and detectives canvasing the area.

What the holy hell happened?!?!

As soon as I got to work, I went to our local news site. Shockingly, there had been a shooting last night.

Right beside my house.

Next door.

And I slept through it. All of it. 6 shots from a gun, and I didn’t stir at all.

I miss everything.

Save or Splurge: Circles Necklace

I love the look of multiples in jewelry- multiple bracelets and bangles, multiple necklaces layered, multiple items on one necklace. And today’s Save or Splurge items feature just that- multiple circles on a chain.

It’s clean. It’s fun. It creates layers with just one simple piece. Take a look.

Left: Silpada’s Triplicity Necklace ($99)

Right: Tiffany & Co Interlocking Circles Necklace ($275)

It should also be noted that the chain lengths here are different. Silpada’s chain is 30” and Tiffanys is 18”.

If you’ve read my Save or Splurge posts before, you know I love using pieces from both Silpada and Tiffanys. They are both .925 sterling silver, but it should be noted that Silpada has a lifetime guarantee on all of their pieces. And is much more inexpensive than Tiffanys.

Which would you choose?
